Dr PawPaw – Review

paw paw

As we are nearing the end of Winter, cracked lips are taking over the population of the world, or at least, the UK and Dr PawPaw were kind enough to send me their multi-use balm in peach pink.

The brand is well known in Australia, where the company were first formed but were not originally distributed within the UK until a husband and wife team, the wife being an Australian herself, launched the PawPaw balms for the Brits. They are currently available in three different variations including the original balm, peach pink and ultimate red.

The thing that separates this balm from all the others is it’s many different uses, it isn’t just for lips. The original can be used on dry skin such as the elbows and knees. It can be used for nappy rash and hair and cuticles, as an eye primer and minor eczema. Why doesn’t everyone own a Dr PawPaw balm? With all of these uses, I can’t think of any reason why you wouldn’t invest in one. It’s thick enough to have decent coverage but at the same time, rather than being sticky and messy, it’s rather clean and moisturising.

I’ve worn this balm in a lot of my recent videos, if you’ve been watching them. Sometimes I wear it on it’s own and sometimes I use it as a base to soften the lips before I put my matte colours on, just to keep them from drying my lips up too much and it does a really good job. I haven’t got round to using it on dry skin or as a primer yet because I’m an avid body butter user and the tinted balms aren’t really for that however, they can be used on the cheeks and for various other cosmetic finishes. Though, when I get my hands on the original, I have high hopes for it when I do get round to using it on dry skin or even to help heal tattoos as others have shared that this is one of it’s many purposes.

The company are hopefully launching a few more products this year so get your hands on a balm soon and test it out for yourself! Let me know what you think of it down in the comments, personally, it’s a new favourite of mine and I am slowly making the transition from my daily product to the peach pink pawpaw! Go check them out here!

First impressions were really positive, I cannot speak for the original product but it’s uses are numerous and that’s great also, the tinted version is a really nice colour
