Goodbye Oily Skin!

Being a sufferer of oily skin myself, you could say that I’ve gone through my fair share of grease banishing products, you know the ones, they claim to give you that matte finish when all they really do is clog up your pores and curse you with breakouts right before an important date, meeting etc. Well, I’m fairly sure that I’ve found a few products that are true to their words and do exactly what they say on the tin… tube, bottle.

My first product is the Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash. I wake up every morning and put this on to remove the dirt from my face and any oil that has accumulated overnight due to sweat and stuff like that. Helpful tip, wash your pillows and pillow cases frequently, sometimes the dirt from them only makes your skin worse. Now that the oil on the surface of my face and shallow pores has been removed, I can start with my make up.

I don’t want my face getting oily throughout the day so regardless of whether i’m wearing foundation or not, my Rimmel Stay Matte Primer – Clear 3 gets applied. It basically just makes it look like i’m wearing foundation without the cakiness and it’s clear so boys can wear it as well without making it obvious that they’re wearing make up (personally, I have no problem with boys wearing make up but society seems to have varied opinions of it.) This also creates a good base for me to apply my foundation if I chose to.

Speaking of foundation, I’ve been using the same brand for about four years now (not the same bottle, obviously) and it’s never let me down and I feel like it gives me that flawless finish that everyone searches for in their foundation, the best part is that it’s totally affordable. Revlon Colour Stay for Combination to Oily skin. This is my go-to foundation, I have others but none of them match up, it’s my favourite and I don’t think i’ll ever switch, the only down side is that it has no pump but that’s not such a problem because it’s not too liquid, it’s an inbetweener.

Once my make is done, if I know i’m going to be doing a lot that day, I usually go one step further and apply my Urban Decay de-slick setting spray. I have the travel size one for £9.00 which is a great price for such a good product and it really does work. I haven’t  been using it for very long but i’m certainly impress. I love it and would definitely suggest it to anyone with oily skin looking for a quick fix.

I hope I helped anyone with oily skin and let me know if you used any of the products and if they worked for you. Don’t be afraid to ask me any questions, i’m always happy to help as much as I can and I love writing beauty posts. Until next time cuties!
