Make Up Revolution palettes, lipstick, blush – Review

Review TN

I love them. That was my first thought when I opened the packaging of my Make Up Revolution palettes. My second was; I’m a freaking idiot.

I ordered four palettes because my pockets aren’t deep enough for a Naked palette yet so instead, I looked around for some dupes and one of my lovely Twitter followers suggested the make up revolution palettes. I went onto the site and got myself four, each with different names because they’re only £4 each so why not? Only, when they arrived, they all look pretty much the same, give or take a few mattes and shimmers. Also, they’re pretty sheer and I haven’t got round to trying them with a wet brush just yet.

However, regardless of lack of opaqueness, they are worth the money, if not more because they’re easy to blend, there are lots of them in one palette and the packaging of them is simple, it’s not too big and won’t take up much space which is good because I am running out of it. I’d say, if you’re new to make up and learning how to do the smokey eyes etc. definitely get your hands on one and practice, they’re amazing beginner palettes and I’m in complete love with them and I’m so grateful for the Twitter follower for suggesting them.

Along with the palettes, I got a matte lipstick in nude, the exact name is 😒 and I want to start with the packaging because it is lovely, it’s sleek and it’s bullet shaped, quite similar to MAC’s lipstick and it is definitely matte. Usually, when I buy lipsticks that claim they’re matte, I’m disappointed because well, they’re not. I mean, they’re not always totally shiny and sticky but they aren’t matte like they claim to be but with the Make Up revolution lip products, this isn’t the case. They are exactly what they say on the tin and I love them.

As well as these, I purchased a blush. I’m not a fan of shimmering things, matte is my life, matte everything, sparkle isn’t my cup of tea. I’ve been searching for a really pigmented blush, preferably a dark rosy colour for the winter but I couldn’t find anything on my high street but once again, Make Up Revolution have delivered. Another matte item, it’s a little pinker than expected but, great and very visible none the less, it needs a little forceful blending but other than that, I really can’t fault it at all, I’m in love with this brand and I feel like they’re really underrated as a drugstore brand.

All in all, the products I received are amazing and I will definitely revisit their website.

Hey thanks for sharing your thoughts about this brand. Hope you could do more with others like Revlon and L’Oreal. I wanted purchase a high end brand makeup but I’m afraid I’m not a professional and I might just end up wasting money on them. So I’m really happy you did a review on this one. 🙂 Thanks again. x andrea
