Salcura Face Products – Review

bioskin review.jpg

A little while back, Salcura sent me some skin care products to try in celebration of the relaunch of their award winning range – Bioskin. Usually I’m very careful about changing my face wash as my skin is used to it working and switching products can sometimes upset it but for beauty, I stopped using my usual scrub and switched to Bioskin DermaSerum and the Bioskin Face Cleanser. Price wise, the amount you get is very good for what you pay, that’s not the most important part of the product but it is definitely a bonus.

When I first used it, I had two spots on my chin which just weren’t budging but they weren’t pop-able either so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to test out the face cleanser. The colour or it is initially a little off putting because it looks a similar, and has the consistency of honey… It also kind of smelt like it, honey and fresh grass is the closest thing I can relate to the smell or, exactly like the Bee Lovely To Your Hands hand moisturizer (if you’ve smelt it) so quite a noticeable smell and colour. It isn’t a bad smell though. Kind of nice, just powerful. I had only used it twice before the spots cleared up which is amazing! Rapid results are what people look for in face washes. Also, even though it is great for dry and sensitive skin, it didn’t make my face twice as oily, which is what some products do if you have oily skin already. 97% of the ingredients are natural and it is great for sensitive skin because it doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals!

The second face product I received is the DermaSerum which is an everyday moisturizer that is safe to use under the eyes. It is ideal for people with skin prone to eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea and other related dry skin conditions which is great because some products make conditions like this worse. The serum contains no steroids and is 98% natural and even though the website says nothing about it being useful for those of you suffering with colds (especially as Winter approaches) I think it would be a great facial moisturizer when you’re feeling groggy and bunged up because it smells exactly like vapor rub. Again, I have oily skin so I don’t normally use a moisturizer as I find it just makes my T section greasier but I thought I’d give it a go and to my surprise, it softened my skin without making it look unwashed and wet, even when I’m not wearing make up.

I’m usually disappointed with a lot of face products when it comes to them not messing with my skin but Bioskin are great for all types of skin, definitely would recommend for anyone struggling to find something that works for them and the refreshing scents of the products are just  a plus! These are just two of their whole Bioskin collection. If you fancy trying them, make sure you comment down below and let me know whether they were just as good for you.
